This is not an "official" Patenaude family site. As far as I know, there isn't one yet. Many people are interested in forming an official family association, with a constitution and bylaws, annual dues, a newsletter, an official website, an annual meeting, a family crest, a family motto, a coat of arms, and possibly a monument to the first members of the family to come to North America: Nicolas and Marguerite Patenostre.
On September 28, 29, 30, 2001, we hope to meet in or near the City of Quebec for the first North American Reunion of the Patenaude Family Association.
We hope to dedicate a monument to our ancestors which will be placed at an as-yet-undisclosed location, possibly on the Island of Orleans, near Quebec City. |
